Sectors of Practice

Our extensive experience in the construction industry spans from small-scale maintenance projects for local authorities to large commercial schemes. In an increasingly competitive market, we recognise that exceeding our clients’ expectations is essential to maintaining success.

  • Our commercial projects typically involve constrained sites with adjoining buildings and difficult access requirements. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with multiple tenants in occupation and ensure due consideration and respect is always given. We always ensure deference toward all relevant building regulations and legislation thereby ascertaining full compliance.

  • Spire engages with both new construction, and refurbishment, of industrial and distribution facilities. We have experience with Brownfield sites where demolition and new builds have been fulfilled from design stage through to completion. Refurbishment, and extension works to existing structures, have included tenants fit out works and facilities management as required.

  • We have worked with high street retail occupiers, undertaking works as required in accordance with their interim and lease end dilapidation obligations, and in their new acquisition occupational fit outs. In addition, we have been involved with maintenance items and shell fit outs to shopping centre developments.

  • The occupational use of education buildings requires that projects are approached sensitively, methodically planned, and strictly controlled to the highest standards of health and safety. Our work extends to Primary and Secondary Schools; Colleges; and, Academies of Excellence. Projects are undertaken through various contract forms: traditional, design and build and two-stage contracts.

  • Our experience in residential projects ranges between the construction of single dwellings for private clients, to the construction of multiple storey blocks of residential flats. We collaborate with architects, developers and local authorities, combining our knowledge of local materials and building methods, to provide an efficient process of construction. We are proudly registered with NHBC, following assessment of our technical competence.

  • Our public sector experience involves various works to Ministry of Defense building stock. As part of that process, we cautiously adhered to strict security procedures, and ensured compliance with regulations respecting the use and storage of sensitive information. Furthermore, we have worked closely with church dioceses undertaking various works often requiring specialist repair works to historic church buildings.
